About Your Flight

No, Wataniya Airways does not offer Frequent Flyer Program at this time.
Check-in on Wataniya flights starts 3 hours before any scheduled departure and closes 45 min prior to departure.
All passengers are required to clear the Airport Security Check/Immigration Clearance and report at the boarding gate at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The boarding gate will close 30 minutes prior to departure. If you arrive later than this allotted time, you will be considered as a “no-show passenger”.

Onboard

Absolutely! Wataniya provides complimentary meals for all our passengers.
Of course! Just make sure you remain compliant to Wataniya Airways’ baggage policy.
No. Wataniya Airways does not allow pets aboard our aircrafts at this time.
No. However, we welcome you to bring your stroller to the gate for ease of travel through the airport. Shortly before you board the aircraft, one of our dedicated staff members will safely stow your stroller and return it to you after you land. We do not charge for this service.
Sure. You can take up to 100 ml of liquids onboard, but we recommend you check with your departure airport for the latest information.
No. All of our Wataniya aircrafts are non-smoking.

Booking

There are lots of ways to make your Wataniya reservation! You can use either our sales offices, an authorized sales agencies, our call center, or simply book through our website on your desktop or mobile!
No. Wataniya do not offer connections to any other airline at this time.
When you book a reservation through a travel agency, sales shops, or our call center, you will be given 8 hours to confirm the reservation at the quoted fare, if the reservation is made 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. If you make the reservation through our website then it will remain on hold for 8 hours.
No. Wataniya does not allow open dated bookings.
No. Wataniya does not allow name changes.

Tickets & Fares

At Wataniya, you can fly on either our Economy Class or our Business Class. Take your pick!
In order to maintain our competitive rates, our seats are sold on a ‘first-come, first-serve’ basis. That means the fare rises as more seats are sold. If you can’t get the lowest fare, it simply means that one of your fellow passengers has gotten there first.
Wataniya Airways does not offer cash refunds on cancelled bookings. If you decide to cancel your booking, we will issue a credit note after deducting the applicable cancellation fee. You may then use the credit shell for future travel with us for a year from the date of purchasing the ticket.
You certainly can! For a small nominal fee, we’ll allow to pre-book your seat while making your reservation.
At Wataniya, more than 9 people travelling together are classified as a group. Depending on demand, special group fare may be available on some routes. You can easily book a group fare by contacting our sales support team, and they’ll be happy to make the booking for you.
No, unless it’s for an infant sharing a parent’s seat.

Payment

Yes, you can make a cash payment through one of our sales shops or travel partners. Your booking will be held for up to 8 hours in order to give you enough time to pay. If your booking is made less than 48 hours before departure, you must pay for your booking immediately.
Yes, you can pay using a credit/debit card. Please be aware that you will be charged a service fee for the booking. Also, please be aware that Wataniya staff will ask to see your credit/debit card at the airport before you board your flight.
If a credit/debit card has been used to pay on behalf of someone else, we’ll need to see a photocopy of the front of the credit/debit card and a photocopy of the cardholder’s passport at the airport.
If you can’t produce these photocopies at the airport, we will not allow you to travel. We maintain this extra level of security in order to serve and protect you.
Not to worry! Your credit card will not be charged if you decide to cancel your transaction. You will simply be taken back to the payment options page where you can choose to pay with an alternate credit card or through one of our payment partners.
If you have already enrolled and you enter the details incorrectly, your payment will either be: declined (a message indicating this will be displayed on the final checkout page) or you will not be able to complete the transaction process after which time you will be unable to move from the secured page.
Should this happen, make sure to contact your card issuing bank immediately in order to resolve the issue.

Changes & Cancellation

Changing or cancelling your Wataniya reservation is easy. Here are our fare rules for each class:

For Changes:

Business Economy
Available up to 12 hours prior to scheduled departure. Available up to 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.
No change fee only fare difference applicable if any. Changes are made at KD 10 per passenger, per flight plus any fare difference.

For Cancellation:

Available up to 12 hours prior to scheduled departure. Available up to 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.

For sure! Our relevant departments will contact you via the phone number that you provided during your reservation to let you know about the cancellation and to offer alternative flights if required. You will be informed either by SMS or e-mail and may be asked to call us to learn about alternative flights.

Each piece of luggage must not be larger than 158 cm (62 inches) in overall dimensions (Length+Width+Breadth) nor weigh more than 32 kg.
If there’s enough space in the aircraft’s holding storage for your bag, you’ll be charged a per kilo rate depending on your destination.

SSRs

If you’re travelling with an infant, please make sure to tell us by specifying at the time of booking. Did it slip your mind? No problem. Just reach out to our call center before the date of travel. A fee will be applicable per infant per sector.
Due to limited inventory for accommodating infants per flight, passengers are requested to follow the above mentioned procedure when booking children who are older than 14 days and younger than 2 years of age. A maximum of one Infant is allowed per adult.
Proof of age is required, so please carry the Infant’s Passport/valid ID (birth certificate) for inspection at the airport on the date of travel. No extra seats may be booked for Infants and Infants are permitted a maximum weight of 7 kg as hand baggage only.
Wataniya Airways accepts children aged between 5-12 years traveling alone as unaccompanied minor with a charge for each one-way journey for unaccompanied minors. It is mandatory to produce photo identification at the airport for all unaccompanied minors. Passengers should complete and sign an Unaccompanied Minor Form at the departing airports.
We will take charge of their custody and on arrival we require the designated recipient to show identification and sign for the UNMR’s custody. During the trip the child will be escorted by our staff throughout the airport processes and seated in the aircraft where our in-flight personnel will keep a watchful eye on them. Passengers aged between 12-16 are young passengers and may travel alone. If the parents/guardians wish their child to be treated as an unaccompanied minor, this can be done. In this case the UNMR procedure will apply. Wataniya Airways does not accept UNMRs in connecting/stopover flights.

Expectant mothers can fly with us as normal passengers up to the end of your 27th week of pregnancy. After that, the expectant mother will only be permitted to fly with Wataniya if she can provide us with a medical report or letter signed or stamped by her obstetrician stating:

  • The exact number of weeks she has been pregnant
  • The expected date of delivery
  • A confirmation that the state of the pregnancy is normal and that she is fit to fly for the duration of the booked flights.
    The medical report or letter must be written in English and the date of issue must not be more than 7 days before the departure date. Expectant mothers cannot fly with Wataniya after end of the 32nd week of pregnancy. Similarly, if the expectant mother is planning a return flight with Wataniya it must be before this stage of pregnancy as well.
